Change in When Case Requirements Are Posted in eStation

As we work toward a next-generation underwriting system that will allow more cases to be handled in an automated environment, we want to make you aware of changes in the timing of when requirements are posted in eStation.

Please note, our case processing steps and turnaround times have not changed. In fact, the enhancements we are making have given us improved tools to more quickly identify and address issues that could delay your case.

As part of this enhancement, for all cases, the requirements for blood, urine, MIB, MVR or RX are now posted to a case on eStation after the case is determined to be “in good order” as it is being evaluated by our automated underwriting system.

“In good order” means we have received all necessary application paperwork, signatures and documentation as required, and the Part B Medical History or paramed exam has been received.

Previously, some requirements such as blood profile and urinalysis requirements were posted when a case was submitted based on age and face amount alone.

As we continue to build out our system and underwriting resources in 2018, we will further improve our issuance times by processing more cases that meet certain criteria through an automated system where fluids are not required. Our goal by mid-2018 is that 50 percent of our business will flow straight-through processing via our next-generation underwriting platform.

Thank you for your continued support and for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
